Be a Ventfort Volunteer!
Ventfort Hall could not function without our dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteers are needed both seasonally and year-round. We have volunteer opportunities to suit everyone’s interests, including:
Tea & Talk Volunteers
Assist in the kitchen to prepare our splendorous Victorian teas by preparing tea sandwiches, cutting cakes, plating desserts, and adding the beautiful finishing touches with decorative flowers! Pour from luxurious silver service sets and prepare, plate and distribute dainty tea sandwiches, cakes, and cookies.
Tour Guides
Share our beautiful home and the property’s fascinating history. Guides offer answers to questions that guests have while they self-guide through the house, and/or lead guests throughout the house on semi- or fully-guided tours. Full training is provided.
Helping with household chores
Household chores range from light dusting to freshening up for our guests and for events. This would be on an as-needed or regular basis and is relatively flexible.
Maintaining our 11.5 acre grounds
Our grounds include many potted flowers that need watering, weeds that need pulling, and much more. Work with our Gardening Committee on keeping our grounds beautiful!
Buildings & Grounds
The B&G group works as a team on varying projects throughout the house ranging from small repairs to other larger projects as determined by the group and overseen by our House Manager. Training provided on-site for all projects
You can volunteer on a regular schedule or at your convenience depending on the position. You can also volunteer year-round or seasonally.
