About this experience

Join Ventfort Hall Associate Louise Levy on Saturday at 11 am or 2 pm for an engaging salon talk. In honor of Veteran's Day she will take a look at some of the coins, medals, and memorials created by the great Gilded Age artists like Daniel Chester French and Augustus Saint-Gaudens, designed to honor our nation's war heroes and heritage. Commissioned by private citizens as well as public committees, and inspired by Classicism, these artists created works of art that still serve as visual reminders of our nation's veterans from the Civial War to WWl. This talk was inspired by the WWI medal which belonged to the speaker's grandfather, Abraham Levy, and is dedicated to his memory.

This talk is included in your admission to the mansion for self-guided tours. Make your reservation today to secure your spot. Admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, veterans/military, teachers, healthcare workers, $12 for students ages 18 to 23 with valid ID, $8 for children 5 to 17, and free for members when presenting membership card at the check in desk.
